Samyoung Machinery announced that, in celebration of the 90th anniversary of global refrigeration and heat pump specialist BITZER, it invited key customers to participate in a visit to BITZER’s semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor factory in Schkeuditz and attend the CHILLVENTA exhibition held in Nuremberg from October 5 to 11.
Since being established in 1977 as a distributor of industrial refrigeration materials, including refrigeration parts and compressors, Samyoung signed a Korean agency agreement with BITZER in 1987 and has supplied the full range of semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors and screw compressors ever since.
In addition, the company expanded its product lineup through agency agreements with LU-VE in 1994 and FU SHENG in 2003.
Identifying Global Market Trends
Samyoung organized the factory visit and exhibition tour for invited customers with the expectation that participants would gain a deeper understanding of the overall production process and superior quality of BITZER semi-hermetic compressors.
From October 8 to 10, visitors attended CHILLVENTA in Nuremberg, where BITZER participated under the motto “SHAPING THE FUTURE WITH YOU.” The exhibition provided an opportunity to explore the latest global trends in the refrigeration and cold-storage industry.
At this year’s CHILLVENTA exhibition, BITZER attracted attention by showcasing three types of compressors capable of using propane (R290) refrigerant — reciprocating, screw, and scroll compressors — in addition to its IQ MODULE solutions.
The company also conducted in-depth technical workshops and discussion sessions related to refrigeration and HVAC technologies.
In particular, the exhibition introduced the latest technologies and innovative products in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector while providing opportunities for experts to engage in detailed discussions on carbon-emission reduction strategies.
Through the event, participants were able to confirm that refrigerants and high energy-efficiency systems will become key competitive factors and core elements in the future HVAC&R industry, while also gaining insight into future market trends.

Deokho Yoo, CEO of Samyoung Machinery, stated:
“Based on 37 years of close cooperation with BITZER, Samyoung Machinery has made significant contributions to expanding the BITZER compressor market in Korea. We organized this visit to the German factory as part of our efforts to help create a better industry and environment for the future.”
He added:
“As companies around the world are increasingly focusing on the development of products utilizing natural refrigerants, Korea must also prepare itself for the industries of the future.
