Samyoung Machinery Expands Aggressively into the Southeast Asian Refrigeration and Cold Storage Market”

Samyoung Machinery Booth at ‘HVAC VIETNAM’ Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Samyoung Machinery (CEO: Deokho Yoo) announced that it participated in the HVAC exhibition HVAC VIETNAM, held in Ho Chi Minh City from September 4 to 6, and plans to actively expand into the refrigeration and cold-storage market in the future.

At HVAC VIETNAM, Samyoung showcased several products that attracted considerable attention, including:

• Unit coolers equipped with integrated ebm-papst fan motors for refrigeration and cold-storage warehouses
• Condensing units equipped with BITZER VARIPACK inverter systems

The unit coolers equipped with EBM integrated fan motors are available in a wide range of lineups, including SY35, SY40, SY45, SY50, KE, P, and KE71 models. Fan sizes are also offered in various configurations, including Φ350, Φ400, Φ450, Φ500, Φ560, and Φ710, allowing customers to choose from small to large-capacity models.

In particular, the products are highly regarded for their superior quality and durability because both the fan motors and heaters utilize imported components rather than locally manufactured parts.

By selecting sufficient heat-transfer surface areas, the products minimize temperature fluctuations while improving cooling efficiency through increased heat-exchange performance and effective defrosting. In addition, both electric and water-defrosting systems can be smoothly applied to defrost systems used in large logistics warehouses.

The VARIPACK-applied condensing unit combines a BITZER reciprocating compressor condensing unit with the BITZER VARIPACK inverter system.

Notably, BITZER has launched VARIPACK inverter models with IP55 and IP66 enclosure protection ratings optimized specifically for BITZER refrigeration compressors. Unlike conventional fixed-speed ON/OFF operation, the BITZER VARIPACK enables capacity control through variable-frequency motor operation.

Through variable operation ranging from 25Hz to 70Hz, the system can adjust according to the required load, reducing unnecessary compressor power consumption and energy use.

The product incorporates BITZER’s extensive expertise, enabling users to simplify initial setup procedures while performing intuitive commissioning through the BEST SOFTWARE platform.

In addition, alarm history tracking and system monitoring functions allow operators to optimize system performance efficiently.

Another key advantage is that variable-speed operation suppresses repetitive compressor start-stop cycles, enabling more stable and efficient compressor management.

In particular, condensing units equipped with the BITZER VARIPACK inverter can be applied across a wide range of sectors, including refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heating applications.

Optimized operation according to cooling load requirements helps reduce energy consumption while improving efficiency, making the system an effective solution for lowering operating costs.

As a result, Samyoung Machinery plans to further diversify and expand the supply of products incorporating VARIPACK technology into BITZER reciprocating and screw compressors.
