Samyoung Machinery was established in 1977 as a distributor of industrial refrigeration materials, including refrigeration parts and compressors. In 1987, the company signed a Korean agency agreement with global compressor manufacturer BITZER and has since supplied the full range of semi-hermetic reciprocating and screw compressors. In addition, Samyoung expanded its product lineup through agency agreements with LU-VE, an Italian specialist in air-cooled heat exchangers, in 1994, and FU SHENG, a Taiwanese manufacturer of HVAC and refrigeration screw compressors, in 2003. Today, the company responds quickly to market changes by manufacturing a variety of products, including condensing units, unit coolers, chillers, and cascade refrigeration systems. It is also preparing to expand its product lineup by developing CO₂ transcritical system units targeting the growing CO₂ refrigeration market. At HARFKO 2024, which will be held at KINTEX from September 25 to 27, Samyoung will showcase: Samyoung Machinery has initiated the development of CO₂ refrigeration systems as an essential preparation for future market demands and evolving global environmental regulations. To achieve this, the company is cooperating with BITZER, a global energy solutions specialist, on technical development support for eco-friendly CO₂ transcritical systems. In addition, WURM, a subsidiary of BITZER, is supporting the supply of components required for CO₂ automatic control systems as well as technical training related to CO₂ transcritical technology. Launch of Eco-Friendly CO₂ Transcritical System Units
Showcasing Condensing Units Equipped with VARIPACK Inverters
Samyoung Machinery will introduce a new condensing unit equipped with the BITZER VARIPACK inverter system applied to BITZER reciprocating compressor condensing units at this exhibition.
The product will be available with IP55 and IP66 enclosure protection ratings for the VARIPACK inverter. Unlike conventional fixed-speed ON/OFF operation, the system enables capacity control through variable-frequency motor operation.
As a result, variable-speed operation from 25Hz to 70Hz allows the system to match cooling capacity precisely to the required load, reducing unnecessary compressor power consumption and overall energy usage.
Incorporating BITZER’s extensive technical expertise, the product simplifies the user’s initial setup process while enabling intuitive commissioning through the BEST SOFTWARE platform.
In addition, alarm history tracking and system monitoring functions allow optimized system operation and management.
Another key advantage is that variable-speed operation minimizes repetitive compressor start-stop cycles, improving both operational efficiency and system stability.
Condensing units equipped with VARIPACK technology can be applied across a wide range of applications, including refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heating systems. Optimized operation according to cooling load conditions reduces energy consumption, improves efficiency, and lowers operating costs.
Samyoung Machinery plans to continue expanding its product lineup and supply capabilities by applying VARIPACK technology to a wider range of BITZER reciprocating and screw compressors.
Showcasing Condensing Units Equipped with the CM-RC-02 IQ Module
Samyoung Machinery will also introduce condensing units equipped with the new CM-RC-02 module for BITZER reciprocating compressors.
Instead of the conventional compressor protection device (SE-B3), the new system utilizes BITZER’s IQ module, CM-RC-02. The module is currently being applied first to BITZER’s 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor product lines.
The CM-RC-02 supports:
- Motor temperature monitoring
- Discharge gas monitoring
- Oil heater operation
- Oil monitoring
- High-pressure switch safety circuit integration
In addition to compatibility with BEST SOFTWARE, condensing units equipped with the CM-RC-02 allow users to check and save operating data and alarm history directly on-site through Bluetooth connectivity using a mobile phone, enabling accurate and rapid real-time response.
Furthermore, the CM-RC-02 is available in three expansion modes, allowing customized application depending on system requirements.
The newly launched condensing unit includes additional features such as:
- Discharge gas sensor integration
- OLC-D1 oil detection option
- PREMIUM expansion mode
The system also enables on-site monitoring and integration of:
- VARISTEP capacity control
- RI (refrigerant injection) systems
